About the project: Considered by many to be the "most charming musical ever written," She Loves Me is a witty and romantic musical comedy from the creators of Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret. She Loves Me is set in a 1930s European perfumery. It is here we meet shop clerks Amalia and Georg, who rarely see eye to eye. After both respond to a "lonely hearts advertisement" in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters they exchange, but the identity of their admirers remains unknown. Discover with Amalia and Georg the identity of their true loves and all the twists and turns along the way! Additional info: Callbacks: By invitation only. Thursday, August 28, from 7-10 pm. If you are unable to attend callbacks, please do not audition for a major role. Time Commitment: Company Meeting: 8/31/25 Rehearsals begin: 9/2/25 Opening: 11/14/25 Closing: 11/23/25 Material To Prepare: 32-bar musical cut in the style of the show (classic musical theatre - no modern, pop, rock). Baritone. Delivery boy at Maraczek's Parfumerie. His exuberance is infectious and commitment to his job remarkable. He is ambitious for more.
Tenor. A well respected and liked employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie. A handsome lady's man, and he knows it. While a shallow cad, he is personable and well liked. He gets away with a lot.
Baritone. Owner of Maraczek's Parfumerie. He is a successful businessman who runs a tight shop. He likes his employees and his employees like him, until he suspects his wife of having an affair with Georg, resulting in anger, despair, and embarrassment.
Tenor/Baritone. An established employee of Maraczek's Parfumerie, he resembles a hopeless romantic. Kind, shy, intelligent, and soft spoken. He is like the son Mr. Maraczek never had. Georg seeks a kind woman to share his interests.
Soprano. The eager new employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie. Despite being a skilled saleswoman, she easily becomes intimated and nervous. Attractive, bright, charming, and strong wiled. Loves literature, art, and ice cream. Longs to find a man who shares her interests.
Mezzo-Soprano. Employed at Maraczek's Parfumerie. She is sexy and learned in the ways of romance, but longing for something more from the game of love.
Tenor. An eccentric and over-zealous waiter insistent on creating a romantic atmosphere.
Non-singing role. Clumsy at his job he makes the waiter's life a nightmare.
Non-singing role. A highly secretive private investigator.
