11 roles
Late teens/early 20s: hustler, playboy, gambler. Simply put, Keyon that n*gga, or at least he thinks he is. His smile can light up any room—just don’t let it fool you, Keyon is as vicious as he is charming. He has all the makings to be a top guy in the game, but even with his intellect and visionary qualities, Keyon still has a lot of growing up to do. He is often seen as too smart for his own good and openly embraces the flashy lifestyle that comes with being in the game.
EARLY-MID 20s: Jamison is Keyon's older brother. In the streets, he is Stoic, Fearless and Loyal. Jamison will squeeze a trigger with no hesitation, but this doesn't necessarily make him a sociopath. Outside the game he is quite down to earth and amicable, with a heart for children and great respect for his elders. Jamison is smart, he plays the background and constantly has his head on a swivel. With Jamison, it's all business all the time.
LATE TEENS-EARLY 20s: Pragmatic, Distrustful, Observant. Serayah is hard but sensitive, also damaged but resilient. She comes across as a hardbody but at the end of the day she's a kind-hearted woman who wants and needs love. You may not see her as a girl "from the streets" but don't get it twisted, Serayah ain't taking shit from NOBODY!
EARLY-MID 40s: Merciless, Unrelenting, Militant. Ahmad is recognized as the big fish in Georgia, let alone the city of Atlanta. Ahmad is a man with unlimited resources, a man of no remorse and the last man you should ever try.
EARLY-MID 20s: Principled, Easygoing, life of the party. Travis is Jamison's best friend and partner in crime. The two of them came in the game together and have been as thick as thieves ever since. Travis lives and breathes the game so with him it's always business over bullshit but that doesn't mean he doesn't make time for bullshit. After all, this nigga is the life of the party.
LATE TEENS-EARLY 2OS: UNASSUMING, RESERVED, VIOLENT. NINA IS KEYONS BEST FRIEND FROM DIAPER DAYS. SHE IS FEARLESS, LOYAL TO THE CORE AND PLAYS THE BACKGROUND. BASICALLY EVERYTHING A GOOD SOLDIER SHOULD BE. NINA AND KEYON JOKE ON EACH OTHER A LOT AND HAVE A HISTORY OF COMPETING FOR THE SAME WOMEN EVEN THOUGH IT'S NEVER BEEN MUCH OF A COMPETITION. DONT NOBODY GET MORE B*TCHES THAN NINA.
MID-LATE 2OS: TORRENCE IS THE NEPHEW OF AHMAD. OVER THE YEARS TORRENCE HAS TRIED TO BUILD A REPUTATION THAT MIRRORS THE LIKES OF HIS UNCLE. LIKE AHMAD, TORRENCE IS MERCILESS AND UNRELENTING HOWEVER HE LACKS THE INSTINCTS & DISCIPLINE OF HIS UNCLE. TORRENCE IS EMOTIONAL AND SPORADIC.
MID 2OS-EARLY 3OS: INQUISITIVE, CHARISMATIC & PERSONABLE, ADINA THOMAS IS A CRIME REPORTER FOR ATLANTA 5 NEWS. SHE COMES FROM WHERE THE ACTION HAPPENS SO HER VOICE CARRIES MORE WEIGHT THAN YOUR EVERYDAY NEWS CORRESPONDENT. WHEN IT COMES FROM HER MOUTH, IT AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVES THE STAMP OF TRUTH, EVEN WHEN ITS NOT.
MID-LATE 2OS: SELF GRATUITOUS, OVERLY CAUTIOUS, INSTIGATOR. KENTRELL IS ANOTHER WORKING ASSOCIATE OF JAMISON & TRAVIS. WHILE HE MAY THINK MORE OF HIMSELF THAN HIS PEERS, KENTRELL IS A MAN WITH GREAT INTUITION. HE'S A SOLDIER THAT GETS THE JOB DONE AND GETS IT DONE RIGHT.
40s–mid 50s: nurturing and soft spoken, Miss Connie is a neighborhood hairdresser; however, providing top-tier services is the least of what Miss Connie does. She’s a pillar in the community that gives people like Keyon and Nina a safe haven outside of the chaos that is their everyday life.
50s: Working across from Miss Connie, cutting heads, is none other than Mr. Charlie. To be honest, Mr. Charlie isn’t much of a barber—buddy been pushing hairlines back since the 80s—but he is a man of God, a man of great character, and a man with a heart for protecting and guiding the youth as Miss Connie does. He just isn't nearly as soft spoken.
