Young actors for 2025/2026 season. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: "Change To Passage" A New Musical Synopsis: A young child runs in an alley from a protest in the streets for equality. Once they are in hiding, they end up in an abandoned warehouse, that use to be an old history museum. With in seconds, the museum figures come alive and they take the child on a journey of changes that happened in America to make him realize, why he can continue this life in the world we live in. This is an original Broadway pop score with a "Hamilton" feel. Rate: "Change To Passage": each cast member will be paid $130.00. Additional info: - Please provide a headshot, sheet music, and a list of conflicts. - You are NOT allowed to sing accapella, in a group/duet, with a track, or without sheet music. A live accompanist will be provided. Directors DO NOT cast everyone who auditions. They are only casting the amount for what the show is calling for, per the director's vision. "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" There is a Production Fee: see the attachment. Requirements: Must sing a (32 bar) song from a Broadway Musical (DO NOT SING FROM THE SHOW). Must have a one minute comedic monologue. There will be a small ensemble of the minor roles, except Rona and Mitch who will play Olive's mom and dad for the "I Love You" song. Rehearsals will start Saturday, September 20th. ​Show: November 14th and 15th at 7:00pm. "Change To Passage": A New Musical There is a Production Fee: see the attachment. Requirements: Must sing a (32 bar) song from a Broadway Musical. Rehearsals will start January 5th, 2026. Show: February 27th and 28th at 7:00pm and 28th at 1:00pm. The second runner-up in his district, Leaf gets into the competition on a lark and finds everything about the bee incredibly amusing. He is home-schooled and comes from a large family of former hippies. He has severe Attention Deficit Disorder and spells words correctly while in a trance. A3 - A5. A Putnam County Spelling Bee finalist last year, he was eliminated because of an allergic reaction to peanuts and is back for vindication. His famous "Magic Foot" method of spelling has boosted him to spelling glory, even though he only has one working nostril and a touchy, bullying personality. He develops a crush on Olive. E4 - B5. Marcy ParkFemale18-19 y.o.Asian

A recent transfer from Virginia, Marcy placed ninth in last year's nationals. She speaks six languages, is a member of all-American hockey, a championship rugby player, plays Chopin & Mozart on multiple instruments, sleeps only three hours a night, hides in the bathroom cabinet, & is getting very tired of always winning. A young newcomer to competitive spelling. Her mother is in an ashram in India, and her father is working late, as usual, but he is trying to come sometime during the bee. Having found comfort in its words and vastness, Olive made friends with her dictionary at a very young age, helping her to make it to the competition. She starts enormously shy, and shyly blossoms. The number-one realtor in Putnam County, a former Putnam County Spelling Bee Champion herself, and the returning moderator. She is a sweet woman who loves children, but she can be very stern when it comes to dealing with Vice Principal Panch and his feelings for her. The Vice Principle. Frustrated with his life, he finds the drive of the young spellers alien to him. After five years' absence from the Bee, Panch returns as judge. There was an "incident" at the Twentieth Annual Bee, but he claims to be in "a better place" now, thanks to a high-fiber diet and Jungian analysis. The Official Comfort Counselor. An ex-convict, Mitch is performing his community service with the Bee, and hands out juice boxes to losing students.
