Vocalists and Dancers Call for Upcoming Project
The company is looking for Sea performers for upcoming project. Please, see the details below. Additional information: The open call will be held in Vancouver, BC, Canada. No appointment is necessary. This is an open audition. Performers in Vancouver have the chance to showcase their talent at an exciting open casting call for vocalists, dancers, and singer/dancers this September. No pre-registration is required, and talent will be seen in the order they arrive. Strong dancers who can sing harmonies, solos, and featured parts with confidence. Those auditioning for singer/dancer roles MUST complete the production dancer call; if successful, they will receive instructions for a vocal self-tape callback.
4 roles
Male-identifying, height 5’8–6’2 Dynamic performers with a bari-tenor/tenor range and excellent pop, rock, R&B, and Motown sensibility. Must move very well. Stylistic references include Bruno Mars, Elton John, Maroon 5, Rascal Flatts, and Stevie Wonder.
Female-identifying, height 5’3–5’9. Powerful mezzos with a strong belt up to F5 and a commanding stage presence. Must move very well, with stylistic references such as Little Mix, Aretha Franklin, Carrie Underwood, Tina Turner, and Adele. Vocalists should select and prepare two songs from the provided list, bring a current headshot and resume, and be prepared to stay for a dance segment if invited. Please bring form-fitting dancewear (and heels for female-identifying performers).
Female-identifying: 5’3–5’9. Male-identifying: 5’9–6’2. Athletic, highly skilled dancers trained in commercial jazz, ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop. Tap is a plus. Female-identifying dancers should be prepared to perform in heels and flats. Dancers will be expected to learn multiple combinations.
