Disney’s "Frozen" Searching for Actors
Theatre is holding auditions for the season 99 holiday show, Disney’s "Frozen". Looking for cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm! Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage. Additional info: Callbacks: Monday, July 28th and Tuesday, July 29th, from 6pm-10pm. Callbacks are by invitation only based on the needs of the individual production. Those invited to callbacks will likely read scenes and sing songs from the show, and may learn additional choreography, as well as participate in improvisation and movement exercises. Rehearsals will begin Monday, September 15th. Performance dates are November 14th- December 14th. With possible extension dates from December 17th through 21st. (Wednesdays – Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays* and Sundays at 2:00 pm. *Saturday matinee performances begin November 22nd.) If you are interested, please apply.

Born with magical powers that she struggles to control, Elsa’s fear of hurting others pushes her to hide from the world and distance herself from the people she loves most. Underneath all of the fear is a strong, determined leader, waiting for just enough warmth to step out of hiding and take her rightful place on the throne. This is a physically and vocally demanding role for a strong musical theatre belter.
Spunky, joyful, and charming, Anna defies social decorum and rules in favor of spreading her optimism and light throughout the Kingdom. She loves easily, but feels the rejection of her only sister deeply. She might not have the magical powers that Elsa wields, but her inner strength and resolve is equally fierce. This is a physically and vocally demanding role for a strong musical theatre belter.
His sarcastic exterior hides a man with a big heart & a solid sense of right & wrong. Although he is a bit of a loner, Kristoff has developed a personal relationship with his reindeer, Sven, who has been known to intervene when Kristoff’s stubbornness gets in the way of his best interests. Kirstoff was raised by the Hidden Folk, so he doesn’t always know the rules of polite society, & doesn’t really care to learn. This is a baritone role with some singing, but mostly needs to be a strong actor.
As the ambitious 13th son of a king, Hans is always on the lookout for opportunities to make a name for himself. He is charming, handsome, and extremely good at reading people - all of which he uses to achieve his own personal goals. This is a baritone role with some singing, but mostly needs to be a strong actor.
A little nice, a little naughty, with a big, round belly and a big, bouncy butt, Olaf is a loyal friend who loves summer…and warm hugs. He is joy, personified, and although he might not seem like the brightest toy in the toybox, he usually manages to be the most observant and insightful being in the room! Olaf has one big song in the tenor range, and must be an actor with incredible comedic instincts.
We don’t get much of Sven’s backstory, but we do know that he is incredibly loyal to Kristoff, and has definitely adopted some of Kristoff’s brusque sarcasm. That loyalty includes protecting him from physical harm - but also stepping in when Kristoff is making a bad choice. He is generally standoffish around new people, but if you make it into his inner circle, he is your friend for life.
A good natured salesperson, true Hygge believer, and head of a very large family! Sings the big Act Two opening number with joyful abandon.
Weasleton? No Westleton! A Duke with a clear inferiority complex and the desire to climb the social ladder using whatever means are available to him. A comedic role for an actor with excellent comic timing and no fear of making a total fool of himself for entertainment.
The matriarch of the Hidden Folk. Wields magical powers and recognizes magic in others. Loves Kristoff, and has a connection with the royal family of Arendelle, but chooses to live in a magical “in between” land outside the reach of humans. This role sings in a Mezzo-Soprano range.

At least 8-12 additional Ensemble tracks (roles), as well as at least 2 Ensemble “Swings” who will perform a regular track, but also be prepared to step into other Ensemble Tracks, if necessary.
