Finally! Frankenstein is kid-friendly! Frankie and Irving are science nerds who have an unusual idea for the upcoming Science Fair. When Doctor Frankenstein’s ancient secret book arrives from Transylvania, the friends are whisked into a sci-fi fantasy of time-warped, weirdly scary and lively adventure. 2. "Blithe Spirit" First Rehearsal: Monday, August 11th; Rehearsal Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday Evenings Beginning at 7pm; (Additional Dates may be added, if needed); Performance Dates: Fridays and Saturdays, October 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 12th at 2:00 p.m; Strike Date: Sunday, October 26th. A smash comedy hit in London and New York, this much-revived classic from the playwright of Private Lives concerns fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, who has remarried but finds himself haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, Elvira. Clever, insistent and well aware of Charles’ shortcomings, Elvira is called up by a visiting “happy medium,” the eccentric and flighty Madame Arcati. As everyone’s personalities clash, Charles’ current wife, Ruth, is accidentally killed. She “passes over” and joins Elvira, allowing the two “blithe spirits” to haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity. Additional info: Directors ask that participants arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and introduce yourself to the stage managers. If you have a headshot and resume, please bring it (not required). There are no audition appointments, and actors are not required to prepare a monologue. The evening will cover the auditions for both shows, beginning with the Young Audiences Production. During each show’s audition, all actors will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a group setting with the director selecting sides and combinations of participants to read together or independently. Please be prepared to move and make bold choices! To be considered, please apply.
