"Little Shop of Horrors" Show Looking for Singers
The company is holding auditions for "Little Shop of Horrors" show and looking for performers, please see the details below ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Being a part of Little Shop of Horrors is sure to be an incredibly fun yet challenging experience. The show is packed with quirky characters, catchy songs, and dark comedy that make it a blast to perform. From the high-energy musical numbers to the over-the-top acting, there’s never a dull moment on stage. At the same time, it requires serious dedication—nailing the timing of the humor, learning harmonies, and working with complex props like the Audrey II puppet all take focus and teamwork. But that challenge is what makes it so rewarding. Bringing such an iconic and unique story to life with a cast and crew is not only exciting, it’s an unforgettable opportunity to grow as a performer. Additional info: Little Shop of Horrors will be presented on October 31st and November 1st 2025. Rehearsals will be every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening from 6-9 PM and the occasional Saturday from 8 AM- 12 PM (Noon). Rehearsal will begin on Tuesday, August 19th. Tenor (A2-G4) A meek and dejected assistant at a flower shop who happens upon a strange plant, which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop. Little does he know that this unusual plant will develop a soulful R & B voice, an attitude, & an unquenchable thirst for human blood. Must be able to dance. Audition piece: Grow For Me
Bass/Baritone (G2-G4) Must be a rich, full “gospel and R & B-like” voice. All acting is done offstage, so must have a lot of vocal inflection. Audition piece: Git It (Feed Me!)
Baritone (G2-F4) The opportunistic owner of the failing Skid Row Flower Shop, where Seymour & Audrey work. He is money-hungry and manipulative. Audition piece: You Never Know
Baritone G2-F4 Audrey's abusive dentist-boyfriend. A maniacal, motorcycle-riding tough guy. He is tall, dark, handsome, & a sadomasochist. Audition piece: Be A Dentist
Mezzo-Soprano (A-flat 3-D5) A gum-snapping, bleached blonde secret love of Seymour. Lacking any education or selfesteem, she suffers from feelings of hopelessness. Must be able to act and do "over-the-top" characters. Audition piece: Somewhere That's Green
Crystal, Ronnette, & Chiffon Mezzo-Sopranos (A-flat 3-F5) They dp the majority of the singing in the show - must be very strong singers & dancers. Reminiscent of a group similar to the Supremes. Young, smart, hip, & sassy.
Must be physically able to run the puppet and convey emotions & the dialogue from the Audrey II voice actor. (will work closely with actor in the Audrey II role!)
