Lead. Eric is a wannabe writer with a depressive streak. Running out of money, he can find the strength to do little more than lie on his couch. When Matt reaches out, Eric chooses at first to ignore him. But lonely, and losing his sense of self, he begins to wonder if he can really afford to push yet another person away, even if that person is Matt.
Supporting. Matt has good career prospects, but he also has a reputation for being a bully. Ostracised by his friends, he finds himself forced to rethink his behaviour. He remembers that his old friend Eric lives in the city where his upcoming work conference is taking place. He reaches out, hoping to make up for past wrongs.
