Leora is a vampire that has lived for hundreds of years. She is a neurotic and self destructive shut-in. She is the adoptive mother of the family. She sees visions of doom which lead to her imposing her paranoid world view on the people around her.
Dean is the primary antagonist and a vampire hunter. He is a maniacal villain that is quick to enact extreme violence. When he discovers the true identity of our protagonists, he makes it his vigilante mission to destroy them.
Middle-Eastern or South-Asian. Julien is a vampire and Leora's adoptive son. He is coming to visit his estranged mother for the holidays. He is a well-intentioned, kind person who always finds himself as the mediator of family drama. He is charming and a bit sarcastic.
Connor is a vampire. He's visiting his girlfriend's family for the first time over holiday. He's an artist who has a curious mind for antiques and old decor. He is a nervous person since he's put in an awkward situation. Events in the story lead him to loose control of himself at times and act irradically and violently.
Sam is a vampire hunter. he, along with his brother, are the antagonists of the story. He is such a dogmatic believer in his mission to eliminate vampires that he has spun himself into a religious psychosis. He looses his mind.
