Peter is a young transgender man, temperamental and reserved. His solitary life as a runaway eventually corners him into attempting to return home. With no car, he takes to the country roads as a hitchhiker, which lands him in the back seat of his mother's car. Authenticity is really important to the story; therefore, we are seeking transgender actors.
Diane is a small-town Christian mother, still recovering from her only child running away from home years prior. She is kind and gentle, although her caring nature is sometimes skewed by her lack of understanding and old-fashioned mindset. She is motherly in her insistence. In an attempt to heal, she starts to take down the old “missing” posters. Along a desolate country road, she picks up a young, oddly familiar hitchhiker who reminds her painfully of her loss.
