Singers Needed for "Seussical" Musical Show

Vocal Range: F2 - F4 Our story’s omniscient narrator, fun loving and enjoys rhyming. Pops up throughout the story to help the auditions. Wise and attentive

Horton the Elephant Our story’s main character, he is compassionate and gentle elephant. Commonly misunderstood because of his larger size. He is protective and loving of all creatures in the jungle.

Vocal Range: F3 - F5 Horton’s one-feathered-tail bird neighbor. Gertrude is sweet and timid. Though kind and loyal, she is also self-conscious of her shortfalls.

Vocal Range: G3 - Eb5 The most beautiful bird in all of the jungle. Oblivious to her self-centered ways, she relies on her talent of manipulation and intoxicating beauty, to navigate her way through life.

Vocal Range: F#3 - F5 The ‘leader’ of the jungle. She is loud, brassy, and stubbornly set in her ways. A caring mother, but unabashedly sassy and soulful.

Casting 1 individual to play the Young Kangaroo in the pouch that follows the Sour Kangaroo around throughout the show. The Young Kanagroo has vocal solos.

Skills Desired: Dance background, Ponte Casting up to 6 individuals to play the Bird Girls whom back up Mayzie Labird and Gertrude Mcfuzz throughout the show. You will remain a Bird Girl throughout the entire show (no costume changes). Seeking 1 such individual skilled in ponte for a solo dance

Skills Desired: Acrobatics, Back flips, Aerials, etc. Casting up to 4 individuals to play the Wickersham Brothers. You will remain a Wickersham throughout the entire show (no costume changes).

Casting 2 individuals to play the roles of Thing 1 and Thing 2 as Mime Comics throughout the show. You will mostly follow around the Cat in the Hat but will also be responsible for many of the movements and scene changes throughout the show.
