Weathered, small-town drifter aesthetic: boots, denim, cigarettes, dry humor. Carries grief beneath wit & a restless, quiet strength. Tess returns to her rural hometown after years drifting, seeking forgiveness from herself & the town she left behind. She is layered, complex, & human: she comes back to work at the diner she worked at when she was 16, scrubbing dishes & cleaning floors while clinging to a Walkman with an old tape made for her by a friend who has passed.
