Seeking Performers for "Looped" Play

Cobourg, ON, Canada
ID: 288937Exp: 8/4/2025
Description:

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting performers for production of "Looped". More details are below. About the play: In the summer of 1965, inebriated Tallulah Bankhead enters a Los Angeles sound studio to re-record (or “loop”) a few lines of dialogue from her final film, Die, Die My Darling. As a Hollywood star with an illustrious career, she is, as expected, larger than life: bold, brash and ferociously funny. But as the session unfolds, we begin to see Tallulah in a different light: as a fading 63-year-old actress who is losing control of her persona and her brilliant career. "Looped" is largely based on an actual but “inadvertent” recording of the day of the looping session. As such, it offers a rare behind the scenes capture of Tallulah’s real life, three years before her death. Additional information: Rehearsals begin Sunday, August 17th at 9:30am. Regular rehearsal schedule will be: Sundays 10am – 12:30pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm – 9:30pm Performances are November 14 – 30th. If you're interested, please apply.
