Auditions for "The Mousetrap" play. In search of actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: SYNOPSIS: The world's longest running play! A group of strangers is stranded in a boarding house during a snowstorm, one of whom is a murderer. The suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, and the suspicions in their minds nearly wreck their perfect marriage. Others are a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman. He no sooner arrives, when a murder is committed. Two down, and one to go. To get to the rationale of the murderer's pattern, the policeman probes the background of everyone present and rattles a lot of skeletons! Chalk up another superb intrigue for the foremost mystery writer of her time. Additional info: The sides are attached. Possible callbacks on Wednesday, 8/6 from 7 to 10 pm. MOLLIE RALSTONFemale26-39 y.o.All ethnicities

(English/British accent) LEAD - the young wife of Giles Ralston and the new proprietor of Monkswell Manor. She is very anxious about hosting the inn's first guests. Despite knowing very little about the bed and breakfast business, she eagerly jumps into both business management and the household tasks of cooking and cleaning. Mollie is not as naive as she initially seems, especially when dealing with the difficult guest, Mrs. Boyle or handling the oddball guest Christopher Wren.

GILES RALSTONMale26-39 y.o.All ethnicities

(English/British accent) LEAD - Giles is somewhat arrogant, overprotective husband, and jealous of the other guests' attentions toward Mollie. Giles works outside of their bed and breakfast chopping wood, chucking coal, and taking care of the hens. He is immediately suspicious of the young stranger Christopher Wren and argues against leaving Mollie alone with him. Some of his actions arouse suspicion against him and what connections he could have with tragic events at Longridge farm.

CHRISTOPHER WRENMale26-39 y.o.All ethnicities

(English/British accent) LEAD -Christopher is a hyperactive young man who acts in a very peculiar manner. He is the first guest to arrive at the inn. Described as having long, disheveled hair and eccentric ties. Christopher is quickly enamored with Monkswell Manor, exploring all rooms and furniture. He actively flirts with Mollie and takes on the task of helping Mollie cook meals. His eccentric nature makes him an immediate suspect in the murders connected to Longridge farm.

MRS. BOYLEFemale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

(English/British accent) SUPPORTING - Mrs. Boyle is an imposing woman in a bad temper; she complains about everything. A former court magistrate, she is pompous, pretentious woman who immediately presents herself as unlikeable and unsympathetic. She is extremely critical of Mollie, how she runs the inn, and the inn itself.

MAJOR METCALFMale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

(English/British accent) SUPPORTING - Major Metcalf is a jovial and sporting man, retired from the army and always willing to lend a hand. Little is known about him, but in his interactions, he generally tries to raise the spirits of those around him. He always tries to look on the brightside of everything.

MISS CASEWELLFemale26-39 y.o.All ethnicities

(English/British accent) SUPPORTING -A strange, aloof, somewhat masculine woman who speaks offhandedly about the horrific experiences of her childhood. She is not afraid to manipulate people to get what she wants but soon finds herself in a situation too overwhelming to manage.

MR. PARAVICINIMale30-69 y.o.All ethnicities

(French accent) SUPPORTING -The mysterious and unexpected guest at Monkswell Manor, the last to arrive at the inn. He reveals very little about who he is or where he is from, instead enjoying his strange sense of mystery and putting others ill at ease. Affecting a foreign accent (see above) and artificially aged with make-up.

DET. SERGEANT TROTTERMale26-49 y.o.All ethnicities

(English/COCKNEY accent) SUPPORTING - Trotter is a cheerful, common-place man, eager to find a person of interest connected with a murder in London the previous night. He is abrasive and manipulative in his questioning, bordering on eccentric and myopic in his mission.
