Singing Opportunities in "Pieces of Resistance" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Looking for 3 actor-singers to bring "Pieces of Resistance" a heartfelt, intimate work by Dill March to life on stage. More details are below. About the play: Declan and Matt go on a date to meet Declan’s mother only to find out she’s dead. Declan is surprisingly not only at peace with this but comes to the cemetery often to spend time with his mom’s spirit as if she’s still living. He talks to her and hangs out with her and wants to share this with his new boyfriend Matt. While they’re at the graveyard, someone criticizes them for holding hands. This sparks a conversation between the two men on what it means to be gay in today’s modern world. The song features playful songs that comedically frame the discussion and show that joy exists even in an oppressive world. Rate: Non-union roles. Honorarium + profit share. Additional information: Performances: Sept 6–14, 2025. Rehearsals: 1x/week starting July (based on your availability). Audition deadline: July 7. If you're interested, please apply.
