About the project: When inseparable best friends Joey and Laura join their summer camp's counselor-in-training program, social climbing, new romances, and a chaotic midnight initiation ritual force them to confront whether their friendship can survive growing up... or growing apart. Additional information: Callbacks will take place July 14th - July 18th over Zoom. Rehearsal dates are TBD but will be during the month of August. Joey is a seasoned Camp veteran ready to take on the counselor-in-training program with newbie BFF Laura, but new social dynamics kibosh her plans of social domination.
To play 15. Witty, book-smart, innocent, kind, reserved, slightly introverted. Laura is only in the counselor-in-training program for Joey and resume padding, but unexpected connections make her summer far more exciting than she could've imagined.
To play 15. Quirky, resourceful, dweeby, silly, intelligent. Lewis is often overlooked as Joey's weird younger cousin who's always following her around, but his weird antics always seem to bring the group together just when they need it.
To play 16. Effortless, charming, kind-hearted, charismatic, intelligent. Cam is Camp Sparkside's resident golden boy, though his good-looks and endless wit often distract from his emotional complexity that go unnoticed to everyone but Laura.
To play 16. Trendy, popular, effortless, blunt, magnetic. Inez rules Camp Sparkside and she knows it. Her popularity overshadows her emotional intelligence, but this summer a new group of wacky friends will reveal a deeper side to her.
