Theater Casting Call for "Scintilla" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Seeking performers for production of "Scintilla". More details are below. About the play: Michael and Nora travel to visit his mother Marianne, a reclusive artist who lives at the edge of the woods in California’s Wine Country. As a raging wildfire approaches, Michael must deal with Marianne’s refusal to leave and the arrival of two unexpected visitors. The rising tension exposes a complicated family history erupting into larger questions about survival. Rate: This production operates under a professional, non-equity, profit-sharing model. Directors welcome auditions from Equity members; however, please note that this is a professional non-Equity production, and any necessary permissions or arrangements with Equity groups are the responsibility of the individual artist. Profits from ticket sales (earnings after production expenses) will be shared equally among the cast and crew. Additional information: Rehearsals begin: Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 Rehearsal schedule is as follows: Tues-Thurs 6:00pm-10:00pm; Saturday & Sunday 10:00am-4:00pm; Tech week September 8th-11th from 6:00pm-11:00pm. Not all cast will be required for all dates and times but must be available for all rehearsals prior to casting. Opening: Friday, September 12, 2025. Dark Days: Monday, September 15 & 22, 2025.
