About the project: When 16-year-old Ollie joins his free-spirited friend Ethan on a remote mountain trek, he senses Ethan is searching for something: something that is unspoken and all-consuming. As Ethan grows more distant, Ollie is ensnared in a journey he doesn’t understand, and one that might lead them past the point of return. Rate: Non union. $200.00 per day. PRINCIPAL ROLE. Ethan is bold, impulsive, and impossible to ignore. He’s the kind of person who fills every space with noise, energy, and charm. He can talk his way into anything and out of just about everything. But beneath the jokes and bravado is a restlessness he can’t quite name, and a sadness he’s not ready to confront. He keeps people at a distance, even the ones he loves most, afraid of what might happen if he lets them see too much.
PRINCIPAL ROLE. Ollie is quiet, observant, and deeply empathetic. He’s the kind of person who sits and watches the room before speaking and says more with a glance than with words. There’s softness to him, but he isn’t weak. He feels things super deeply and carries more emotional weight than he lets on. While Ethan pulls attention, Ollie grounds the room. He’s quite cautious by nature, but his loyalty runs deep, and when it matters, he shows up in ways that are brave and quietly powerful.
