Rough, loud, and has a hard-living appearance, but she also displays humor and a sense of camaraderie. Lives with Chris on his barge. Takes Anna under her wing.
A young, good-looking bartender at “Johnny-The-Priest’s” saloon. Larry is cheerful, observant, and provides comic relief.
Owner of the waterfront saloon. Johnny is mild-mannered in appearance but is actually cynical and tough beneath his exterior.
