About the project: SYNOPSIS: Somewhere in foggy Northern California, an intentional community tries to live off the land and keep an unsteady world at bay. But when one of their members dies under mysterious circumstances, ideals are tested, and faith is rocked. Male-identified. A charismatic, weird, disinterested genius with a great facility for language. The play shows us these characters at different times in their lives, and MILO is often playing his younger self, so he should be neither distractingly tall nor older looking. Which is to say he should read younger — maybe - even than his age and be of average height or shorter.
Male-identified. He is somehow ethereal, angelic, sensitive and intelligent, and at the same time maybe slightly dorky but charming. PAUL is either handsome or something close to handsome.
Male-identified. He is pleasant and charming but hard to read. Magnetic and inscrutable - think Peter Fonda in EASY RIDER — WILL is quite intelligent, watchful, competent, perhaps ruthless. Attractive. A natural leader. He is genial but guarded, able to fit in, but he is not necessarily who you think he is.
Female-identified. A bit of a wise child, but she is also a rather tender idealist and a bit dewy.
