Equity actors for roles in Theatre's 2025-26 Season (1st half). See breakdown below. Rate: LOA $500 weekly minimum (Ref. to COST) - 2024-25 rates - 25-26 rates pending (+ health/pension/transportation) Additional info: Audition break: 1:00PM - 2:00PM PREPARATION: Please prepare a brief singing selection (about a minute long) in the style of any show in the season. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in your key and a headshot/resume. Theatre is located in Babylon, Long Island (about an hour from midtown Manhattan, via Long Island Railroad) - theatre provides transportation for all performers. All shows rehearse in Manhattan before moving to Long Island for tech/performances. If unable to attend EPA, see the attachment. EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. An aspiring performer, trying to find both fame and a place in the world. When forced to hide in the convent, she initially refuses to embrace her new lifestyle but learns to embrace it when she works with the choir. Loud-mouthed, and sassy, but ultimately caring. A powerhouse disco diva voice with a huge range and high belt. E3 to F#5 "SISTER ACT"
Black/BIPOC. A club owner, notorious gangster, and Deloris's boyfriend. A super cool, super confident, super smooth bad guy. A tough narcissist with flair, sex appeal, and charisma. Elegant and dangerous. Low baritone or high bari-tenor with a strong falsetto - strong-voiced with big range. A2 to Ab4 "SISTER ACT"
The head of the convent, sarcastic and a bit stiff. Extremely protective about keeping her sisters away from the outside world, which puts her in direct opposition to Deloris and her musical teachings. Strong, unwavering mezzo voice. D3 to E5. "SISTER ACT"
The desk chief at the Philadelphia police station and a high school classmate of Deloris who helps get her into hiding. Faces a lot of nerves when under pressure, causing him to sweat profusely. He still yearns for Deloris after all these years, and dreams of being her hero. High baritone or tenor with a beautiful sound. Ab2 to B4 "SISTER ACT"
Curtis’s bodyguard who keeps mouthing off. Has comic chops. Strong baritone or tenor, with a strong disco falsetto. C4 to F5. "SISTER ACT"
Curtis's nephew. An undersized, overeager young man who would do anything to please his uncle, much to his uncle’s dismay. He’s well-intended, but doesn’t always have the brain power to think ahead. Constantly in a state of ignorant bliss. Good comic chops and very strong tenor, with a strong disco falsetto. Db3 to Eb5 "SISTER ACT"
Big, burly, and fiercely loyal. Joey fancies himself a master in the ways of lovemaking. Has comic chops. Strong baritone, with a strong disco falsetto. Believes himself to be quite the ladies' man. Bb2 to Eb5 "SISTER ACT"
One of the heads of the convent. Constantly concerned with financial matters, though soul music surprisingly puts him in a different mood. Strong character with a strong baritone voice. E3 to G4. "SISTER ACT"
A postulant, abandoned as a baby and raised at the convent. Shy and soft-spoken, but singing with Deloris lets her find her voice. Her wallflower lifestyle has made her live a shell of a life. Soaring and powerful singer, sings “The Life I Never Led” - F#3 to A5. "SISTER ACT"
A nun of the convent. Consistently perky, enthusiastic, and easily excitable. Upbeat, corny, fun - she is a loyal sister and head cheerleader, always ready for an adventure and a new life experience. Has a strong belt and legit voice. "SISTER ACT"
A nun of the convent and the head of the choir. Rather deadpan and the least welcoming of any of the nuns, but she gets caught up in Deloris's soul music. Strong belt and legit a plus, but more importantly, able to rap and be very funny. F3 to B4 "SISTER ACT"
Desperate and unhappy with her lot in life, she is the alcoholic orphanage matron who is Annie's nemesis. Moves well and possess strong comic ability. Strongly comedic with a versatile singing voice. Creates a larger-than-life character. Vocal Range: G3 - D5 "ANNIE"
A middle-aged, self-assured millionaire who grows affectionate toward Annie. A successful businessman with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish. A no-nonsense powerful billionaire. Baritone. Vocal Range: A3 - D5 "ANNIE"
Loyal and intelligent, she is the private secretary to Oliver Warbucks. Calm, classy, and cool, she is maternal towards Annie. Soprano. "ANNIE"
Miss Hannigan's greedy and dishonest brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con-man. A smooth gambler with comic flair and great vocal/dance skills. Tenor to G. "ANNIE"
Rooster's sleazy girlfriend, equally flashy and self-assured, she’s also looking for a quick buck. Strong comic timing and a good singer. "ANNIE"
Sings (character baritone) and moves well, while being able to portray President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and double other roles. "ANNIE"
18+ to play late teens. The charismatic leader of the Manhattan newsies, the street kids who sell newspapers. An orphaned dreamer who yearns to escape the crowded streets of New York and make a better life out west. Fiercely protective of his best friend, Crutchie, Jack is a tough but vulnerable figure with a big heart. Has a soaring pop tenor voice and strong physicality/movement ability. Bb2 to A4. "NEWSIES"
18+ to play mid-teens. A real charmer and Jack’s best friend. He walks with the aid of a crutch due to a bad leg, but that doesn't hold him back from being right in the middle of any mischief. A resilient, optimistic, and goofy soul who is the heart of the resistance. C3 to A4. "NEWSIES"
18+ to late teens/early 20s. The strong-willed daughter of Joseph Pulitzer. A model of old-fashioned spunk, smarts and opinions. Must have a great pop/contemporary musical theater voice with a high belt. A good dancer with strong tap ability. "NEWSIES"
A vaudeville star of the Bowery variety. Sexy, playful, tough when she needs to be but possesses motherly affection towards the boys. Has a big voice and great comic delivery. Doubles as [A NUN]. "NEWSIES"
18+ to play late teens/early 20s. The brains of the resistance. Davey is the bright big brother of Les who starts selling newspapers to help his family earn a living but becomes swept up in the fervor of the strike. A leader in his own right who is learning to use his voice to uplift others. D3 to A4. "NEWSIES"
A pompous businessman through and through, he is concerned solely with the bottom line. Katherine’s no-nonsense father, Pulitzer doesn’t sympathize with the strikers, but he does eventually – and begrudgingly – respect Jack. "NEWSIES"
