Theater Audition in "Ethan Claymore" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking performers for "Ethan Claymore" play. More details are below. Additional information: Callbacks: Friday, July 11th 6:45pm. Auditions will be script readings provided to you that evening. Please bring a resume if you haven’t worked with Gloria in the past. Rehearsals: First read-through: Monday September 22nd 7pm. Rehearsals start: Sept 23rd. Tuesday & Thursday 6:45pm. Sundays (time TBA). Note: Young Ethan and young Martin will not be needed at all rehearsals, for the first few weeks. Gloria will discuss that with the boys and parents. A parent or adult will be asked to accompany your child to all rehearsals. Location: Markham. Performance Dates: November 16–22. A humble widowed egg farmer, and artist. A shy ,awkward ,naive man. Still mourning the death of his wife. He is reluctant to accept change in his life. We see his transformation in the 5 days that the play takes place. We see him open up to the possibilities of forgiveness and love.
Used car salesman. Full of life. Died of a heart attack while selling a car. A bullying older brother sent to patch things up and right past wrongs. Comes back as a spirit (ghost) much to Ethan’s surprise. He blames Ethan for taking away his chance of a hockey career.
A farmer. Meddling neighbour, loud , boisterous, busybody, but has the purest of intentions, a heart of gold. He is determined to be matchmaker between Ethan and Teresa the new school teacher in town.
New in town. Teaches grades 4/5. Quiet and shy at first. But opens up as she gets to know and like Ethan.
