Adult, soprano. A compassionate, well-educated, and gifted ghost from a previous century. Haunted by mistakes of her past, she refuses to forgive herself and “move on”, and is instead consumed with her work of reversing death. As she helps David return to his mortal life, she falls in love with him.

Adult, tenor. Newly deceased soul who acts first before thinking. He’ll do anything to return to his former life and his fiancee, Sadie.

Adult, baritone/tenor. The antagonist. Slimy salesperson persona. A well-educated and gifted spiritual medium passing through town, powerful and mysterious who knows how to work the room and manipulate people into doing his bidding.

Adult, alto (with the ability to sing high). David’s former fiancee, haunted by shadows of the past, who is having a hard time moving on after David’s sudden death.

Adult, baritone. Childhood friend of Sadie. The town doctor, socially awkward, level-headed, thinks before he acts. He’s secretly in love with Sadie.

Adult, baritone. A ghostly ancestor of Sadie, settled to moan his afterlife away, pining for his mortal days as a fiddler, comical.

Adult, alto. Pat’s ghostly wife and counterpart of the comedic duo. Has a love/hate relationship with Pat.

Middle-aged/senior, featured SATB chorus. Rich aunt of Sadie. The busy-body and meddler of the town but has good intentions. She knows everybody’s business.

Adult, featured SATB chorus. Young Adult Female. A victim of the consumption (tuberculosis).
