"Flamingo Court" Stage Play Casting Men and Women

About the project: SYNOPSIS: This three Act play takes place in three different condos: Angelina, in 104, is a three-character piece that starts with smiles and grows into a hilarious, audience-howling ending. Clara, in 204, is the shortest piece (ten to twelve minutes). It deals with two characters in a poignant look at the problems of aging and separation. Harry, in 304, a five-character play – and the wackiest – deals with an eighty-nine year-old gentleman who is battling his greedy daughter at the same time that he gets involved with an aging hooker. Additional info: Looking for strong, passionate actors, and all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. The Playhouse stands firm on the fact that strong actors with strong direction can play a role, no matter what their type, look, or ethnicity. Audition Preparation: All auditionees should come prepared to the auditions with a current theatrical resume and headshot (please note headshots will not be returned). Auditionees will be asked to fill out an audition form and include all conflicts from the audition date to the end of performances. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. CAST SIZE: 5 women & 5 men – some roles may be double cast. Characters ages range from 60’s to 89. 5 to 10 actors may be used. Character ages may fluctuate. Possible call backs on Wednesday, June 25th. Rehearsal Dates: Mondays & Tuesdays during the month of July. Mondays & Wednesday during the month of August & September. Starting at 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Rehearsal schedule will be available at the audition – First rehearsal begins on July 8th. Tech Week: REQUIRED Sunday September 21st – Afternoon Rehearsal – 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm depending on time. Monday September 22 through Wednesday September 24th - 7:30 pm start and ending around 10:00 pm.
