Professional Casting for a Short Film "The Audition"
ONLY LOCAL TAENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking actors from the Niagara region or nearby for a self-funded, micro-budget short film "The Audition". More details are below. Rate: Non union. Non-Union low budget. While our budget is limited, cast will receive a small honorarium. Additional information: Shooting 5 days and 1 day rehearsal from Sunday July 20th - Sunday July 27th mainly evening shoots. Runtime: Live-Action 7 minute short film. Filming Location: St. Catharines, ON. Filming dates: July 20th - 27th Concept: This is a proof of concept short film with its own story but directors will use it to submit to festivals and contests in hopes of raising money for the feature. This short highlights the tragedy and comedy of auditioning and community theatre. These schedule times are subject to change. Sunday July 20th - Rehearsal: 4-10pm Monday July 21st Day 1: 4-11 pm Wednesday July 23rd Day 2: 4-11pm Friday July 25th Day 3: 4-11pm Saturday July 26th Day 4: 2pm-11pm Sunday July 27th Day 5: 4-11pm. Submit until July 1st. Lead Role. Phoebe aches for the Theatre and misses the joy of performing but hates the audition process. After a long break, they are back in the green room waiting for their audition to start. Easily agitated, quick to anger, and triggered by bad audition etiquette. Their face cannot hide their emotions.
