About the project: Logline: A nostalgic, musical-loving older couple are ostensibly going on a picnic, but in actuality, they are illegal arms dealers setting up a meet. However, when a towering and menacing would-be buyer shows up with more sinister ideas, everything goes sideways. Genre: Dark Comedy Crime Thriller (similar in style and feeling to Better Call Saul with 'normal' people getting mixed up in deadly crimes). Rate: Non union. $300.00. (+meals, credit and demo footage). Additional information: Shoot Date: Sunday, June 22. Note that an additional table read and safety session are also required. Location: Maple Ridge. Height: over 6'. The actor had to bow out and we're urgently seeking a huge, intimidating actor to join the cast and who would be able to film on June 22. As movies tend to be judged based on the quality of the villain, looking for someone who could pull off being large, menacing and intimidating - a biker-type who is the towering bully that we'll all hate (onscreen, of course - in person you should be great to work with).
