About the project: "Scar" is a lyrical, time-compressed portrait of a single life told through the body's accumulation of injuries, treatments, and visible traces of aging. Synopsis: "SCAR" begins with a young boy joyfully running down a sunlit street before tripping and scraping his knee, forming a scar. From that instant, the narrative zooms in literally and metaphorically following the boy's life through a series of extreme close-ups that trace the physical alternations of the body from stitches to tattoos, glasses to cracked teeth, and eventually. dentures, wrinkles, and a pacemaker. Rate: Open to Union & Non-Union. This is a passion project with no financial compensation, but all cast members will receive an IMDb credit, a copy of the finished film, and copies of any footage directors shoot should they choose. Additional information: Shooting Dates: Late July 2025. Location: Vancouver. Five different performers will be cast to represent the same character across their lifespan. Most shots are of hands, eyes, mouth, knees, and facial details, so expressive physicality is key. No faces will be shown. Given the compilation style of the project, most supporting roles are small, requiring only 13 hours of on-set filming. In addition, some supporting roles will double up.
