ABOUT THE SHOW: GALLANO.H is a site-specific, verbatim theatre piece built from real conversations and stories about loss, memory, and care. It will be performed outdoors in the amphitheatre at Gallanough Park in late July 2025. Rate: Non-Union. $100 Honorarium. Additional information: This role is ideal for someone who is: Comfortable working with emotionally-honest text; Interested in characters that exist outside traditional realism; Open to performing outdoors and embracing atmosphere; Thoughtful, grounded, and precise in their approach. REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE DETAILS: Rehearsals: July 2025, 3x between Wed.-Sat. Final Performance: Late July 2025 at Gallanough Amphitheatre (1 Brooke St, Vaughan). This character begins as a mysterious, shadowy presence—something like a businessperson or bureaucrat—and gradually transforms into a ghost-like embodiment of a beloved dog who has passed away. Though surreal in nature, Unknown Speaker is grounded in emotional truth. They engage in scripted dialogue with the other ensemble members. This is a poetic, haunting, and ultimately hopeful role—bridging worlds between the living and the lost.
