CASTING CALL - GREATER TORONTO AREA ACTORS (UNPAID) PROJECT SYNOPSIS A charismatic college motivational speaker’s words inadvertently inspire a string of mysterious deaths. As the investigation unfolds, a group of students and faculty are drawn into a dangerous web of influence, responsibility, and dark secrets. GENERAL NOTES No acting experience necessary! We welcome first-time actors, students, and anyone interested in trying out. All roles are for actors who can believably play college students (must be 19+). Abeni didn't ask for the spotlight-but it found her. After a fiery, heartfelt speech goes viral, she is now in a newfounded spotlight she never expected. Abeni is thoughtful, deeply empathetic, and fearless when it matters most. Her voice carries not because it's loud, but because it's true. She's the kind of person who listens before she speaks-and when she speaks, people listen. Sometimes reaching the wrong audience.
Luc is Abeni's best friend-her confidant, cheerleader, and one half of her anchor. He craves the spotlight and often gravitates toward the drama of his own life. When Abeni gains recognition, Luc, ever the opportunist, basks in the newfound attention. His emotional highs and lows are always broadcasted, making his personal life a public spectacle.
Acting as Veronica’s right-hand girl, Gwen’s lack of independence makes her an excellent assistant... I mean friend. (*Must be able to swim)
Touched by her words, Isaiah has become fond of Abeni… maybe a bit more than what his girlfriend, Imogen, would appreciate.
