AUDITION GUIDELINES Please Prepare: 1. 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. 2. 32 bars of a song that exemplifies your desired role (if undecided, choose something contrasting to your first selection). **Do not sing songs from Little Women** 3. 30-60 seconds of a dramatic or comedic monologue. Script sides will be available if you cannot provide a monologue (though monologue is preferred). Please Bring: Detailed weekly availability from July 28 - October 25. Complete list of unavailable dates during this period. Acting resume (optional but recommended). Printed headshot (optional - photos can be taken on-site with permission). Bring your music/backing track on a device that can connect via auxiliary cable or Bluetooth. Please arrive promptly at 6:00 pm. Check in with Stage Manager in the theatre lobby to complete audition forms. Audition process will include: Individual auditions in the performance space. Sound check and volume adjustment with tech. Present your three prepared pieces in your preferred order. Possible questions or direction from the casting team. You're free to leave immediately after your audition. CALL BACKS (by invitation) JULY 26. Music Callbacks: 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Acting Callbacks: 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. Callback notifications will be sent via email no later than 11:59 pm on Wednesday, July 23. Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsal Start: Week of July 28 August: Approximately two rehearsals per week (music and choreography focus). September: Full rehearsal schedule leading to performances. Schedule: Primarily weekday evenings and occasional Saturdays; no Sunday rehearsals. Precise rehearsal dates will be coordinated with cast availability. SHOW DATES: October 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, & 25 at 7:30 pm Special Performance: Company has acquired a swing actress to understudy all female roles. As recognition of this artist's commitment, there will be an additional performance on either Thursday evening, October 16 or Sunday afternoon, October 19, featuring this performer as Jo. Wealthy, imposing, and opinionated great-aunt to the March sisters. Character role requiring strong comedic timing. Vocal range: E3-F5
Intelligent, somewhat awkward German professor who challenges and eventually falls for Jo. Vocal range: G2-F#4
