About the project: Be part of a brand new mystery that unfolds during a hurricane in a small-town Florida library. Written by Ropp award-winning Florida playwright Karen Poulsen, Waiting for Hope is a character-driven, suspenseful drama with secrets, storms, and unexpected revelations. Set in a small Florida library as a hurricane approaches, a group of strangers discover they share a chilling connection to a long-unsolved murder—and no one is getting out until the truth is revealed. Additional info: Doors open at 6:30 pm Seeking a strong ensemble of actors with emotional range, grounded presence, and a knack for suspense. Ages are to be used as a guide, they are not written in stone. What You Can Expect: - Attend only one night—Sunday or Monday. - No prior experience or resume is required. - A prepared piece is not required. - No prepared piece necessary—cold readings from the script (scripts NOT available until after auditions). - Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
