About the project: When a man’s morning latte is stolen, he launches an obsessive quest for justice with the help of an eccentric stranger. What begins as a petty pursuit spirals into an offbeat buddy comedy about control, connection and ego. Rate: Non-paid project. Food and transportation included. Lead. A cynical everyman who just wants his morning latte. Has a quick wit, sharp tongue, and a short fuse. Grounded in realism but capable of big reactions. He has both deadpan and explosive comedic moments.
Lead. Overly enthusiastic and socially awkward. Chris is both comic relief and the emotional heart of the story. Must balance silly physicality with subtle emotional beats.
(Supporting). A chaotic thief. Charismatic in a strange way. Somewhat menacing yet somewhat disarming. Physical comedy is a plus. Must be bald or willing to shave head.
(Supporting). A spiritual guide with a deadpan sense of humor. Parodies the typical “wise monk” archetype.
