Seeking Male Actor for "Buzzer Beater" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting one male actor for production of "Buzzer Beater". More details are below. About the project: Buzzer Beater is a 2–3 minute student short film inspired by the iconic Kawhi Leonard Game 7 buzzer-beater. The story follows Kode, a young basketball player caught in a daydream where he imagines himself hitting the shot of a lifetime. As reality fades in, the line between fantasy and self-belief blurs. With no dialogue, the film focuses on visual storytelling, emotion, and movement to portray the weight of the moment. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer project. Kode is a high-level basketball player—confident, composed, and hyper-focused. In real life, he’s just a normal guy, but in his mind, he’s at the center of a high-stakes, game-winning shot. This is a mostly silent role that relies heavily on facial expressions, body language, and athleticism. A bit of height or presence on the court is a plus, but not a requirement. The focus is on expression, physicality, and capturing the emotion of the moment.
