Tia’s husband, a man-child, addicted to his games, silently abuses his wife by denying her of a bed. All in the name of the illustrious Sanyal family. ‘Hen-pecked’ by his mother, as he is the direct inheritor of the Sanyal ancestral property. He is bit of a useless buffoon, manipulative.
60s. Mrs. Sanyal is the mother-in-law. She is part socialite, part spiritual. Hip, metallic clutch, fresh manicure. Very conscious of her ‘hip society image.’ Her eye lashes are as fake as her American accent. Beneath the fake heritage of the rich Sanyal family, she hides many ‘questionable’ acts. She is the matriarchal head of the very patriarchal Sanyal family, the owner of the Sanyal property. She also suffers from hyper anxiety. She controls the strings of the Sanyal household.
