Actress Audition in a Short Film "Masks"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Short independent film "Masks" is currently in need of actress. More details are below. About the project: A pair of Raccoons, Jerry and Rebecca, break into a Hoarder's (Human) apartment and have a feast. The two proceed to have a heart-to-heart about family. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Meals & Transportation. Additional information: Rehersals begin: Mid-June 2025. Filming: July 2025. ADR recording (soundstage): January 2026. The performance will be realized through puppets, and the actors MUST be willing to learn how to operate the puppets during speaking scenes (they will be coached by the Puppet Master). Looking for passionate and enthusiastic actors to collaborate with. While puppets will be used during filming, directors would love to see your physical interpretation of the character. Description: She is a young female raccoon who is still finding her way after she was abandoned by her mother when she was a baby. She is naive, timid, and unsure of her actions. Rebecca desperately craves some form of platonic/ familial companionship. Notes: Portrayal of Raccoons using Puppets. The actor will be coached on how to operate it during speaking scenes. ADR will take place in January 2026. Since performance is done all through voice and puppets age is not a factor.
