Abut the play: Adapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter, Bruce Joel Rubin, GHOST THE MUSICAL follows Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. The bond of love transcends the boundaries of life itself to grow stronger and more fully realized. Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death. GHOST THE MUSICAL is a poignant romance that builds comedy, suspense, and deeply felt emotion to an ethereal climax that audiences will never forget. Additional information: CALLBACKS: June 5th 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. LOCATION: Kitchener. REHEARSALS Mondays & Thursdays: 6:30 pm-9:30 pm. Sundays 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. Beginning Monday July 7th 2025. Performers cast in "GHOST" THE MUSICAL MUST be available for all required rehearsals. Please prepare 1-2 Minutes of a musical theatre song of your choice. Please no songs from GHOST THE MUSICAL. There will be a group movement portion to your audition, please dress comfortably. No Monologues are required. Performers may be asked to cold read from the script. Alto. Only Black performers will be considered for this role. A larger than life spiritual advisor in Brooklyn, told as a child that she had “the gift” by her mother and grandmother (who were both able to communicate with the dead). Female Presenting.
Rock Baritone. “Friend” and colleague of SAM who becomes corrupted and jealous of everything that SAM has, including MOLLY. Male Presenting. Consent Advisory: This character kisses the character Molly Jensen on the lips. Heavy stage combat role.
