The authors of the landmark musical Company reunite to turn the traditional showbiz musical on its head in this thrilling and compelling Broadway fable about friendship, compromise, and the high price of success. Starting in 1977 and told in reverse (ending in 1957), Sondheim and Furth expertly blend the excitement and energy of a backstage musical with a poignant and emotional contemporary story about the importance of staying true to one’s ideals. Rate: All actors are paid a $100 rehearsal stipend and $40 per performance. Additional info: Prepare: 16-32 bars of a song that shows you off the best. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided. Bring with you: sheet music, headshot (or just a photo of yourself), resume. Video auditions will be accepted. Callbacks: Saturday, June 28th from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. Rehearsals will generally be Mon, Tue, Thur evenings and Saturday afternoons. Rehearsals begin for Merrily on August 2nd. Performances will run September 12th through October 19th. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30, and Sundays at 2:30. There will be a Monday evening Industry Night.
