Urgent! "Into The Woods" Musical Needs Cast
Theatre is holding auditions for upcoming production of "Into The Woods". Seeking cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: Into The Woods—a Sondheim musical that intertwines classic fairy tales, following characters like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack as they journey through a dark forest to pursue their wishes—only to face unexpected consequences. Additional info: You will only need to attend one night of auditions. Auditioners will be taken in the order in which they arrive, and will be able to leave after the conclusion of their audition. Come prepared to sing a one-minute cut of a song of your choosing, preferably not from Into the Woods, and to read one of the prepared sides (see the attachments). The sides do not need to be memorized. Note: Not all characters have sides provided. Choose the side you are most excited to share with directors. You will be considered for all roles regardless of which side you read. There will be callbacks on Friday May 30th from 6:00-9:00pm. These callbacks will only be for specific roles, and will be by invitation. Auditioners who are asked to attend callbacks should be prepared to read from the script, and perform a shortcut of their assigned song from Into the Woods. Music that will be assigned for callbacks is attached in case anyone would like to take a look at it in preparation for their audition/callbacks. Rehearsal Schedule Information: They are TENTATIVELY planning to rehearse Mondays, Tuesdays, Friday evenings, from 6:00-9:00 and Saturday mornings from 10:00am -1:00pm. The official rehearsal schedule will be created with cast conflicts in mind, so please list any and all conflicts for the entirety of the rehearsal period on your audition form in advance.
