About the project: Big The Musical is a 1996 musical adaptation of the 1988 film starring Tom Hanks. It involves Josh Baskin, a 12-year-old boy who grows up overnight after being granted a wish by a Zoltar Speaks machine at a carnival. With the aid of his best friend, Billy, he must cope with his new adulthood while finding the machine so that he can wish himself back and more. Complete with a giant floor piano and stand-out roles for adults and youth, Big is a family - friendly smash hit that is full of high - energy singing and dancing. A perfect show for audiences of all ages Additional info: Performance Dates: November 20th-23rd, 2025 (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday at 7PM, Sunday at 2PM) Rehearsal Dates: Sunday afternoons (1pm-4pm), Wednesday and Thursday evenings (6:30pm-9pm) Leads will start rehearsal in August on Sunday's from 1pm-4pm Audition Information Will include a vocal audition, dance/movement audition, and potentially cold readings from the script. Each individual should bring a filled-out audition form (PDF below) OR fill out the online audition form below. For vocal auditions please refer to the list of Audition Songs (found below). Selections do not need to be memorized and sheet music is permitted. Piano accompaniment will be provided. No acapella auditions or backing tracks are allowed. Please apply if interested.
