11 roles

UnoBoth genders18-22 y.o.All ethnicities

A scholarship student and outsider thrown into the overwhelming chaos of Chromatics—an elite school that worships originality but thrives on conformity. Quietly rebellious, thoughtful, and observant. UNO doesn’t fit in– without a wealthy family or eccentricity to homogenize with the rest of the school– UNO doesn’t fight to fit in either, and likes to go against the grain to fight for what’s right. Must be able to convey internal conflict and transformation with subtlety.

TeacherBoth genders30-69 y.o.All ethnicities

A flamboyant, cult-leader-esque guide to the school. Think “Willy Wonka meets Hunger Games meets Effie Trinket (Hunger Games) meets Dead Poets Society.” They speak in mantras, poetry, and metaphors, and believe in "free expression"—even when it's ironically forced. Should have theatrical training or strong improvisation skills. Must command a room with charisma and eccentricity.

PrincipalMale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

A sweaty administrator trying to keep the school's illusion intact. He's corporate, anxious, and constantly on edge about donors and public image. All his lines feel like sales pitches masked as pep talks. Must be able to oscillate between fake cheer and nervous breakdown.

Mr. DaltonMale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

A wealthy, sharply dressed art investor with sharp eyes and colder intentions. The type who sees student work as a product, not an expression.

Homeroom TeacherBoth genders30-69 y.o.All ethnicities

An intimidating, perfection-obsessed figure who rules the classroom like a high-fashion dictator. Cuts down student work with surgical precision and dramatic flair. Think Miranda Priestly crossed with a performance art curator. Needs strong comedic timing and the ability to deliver lines with deadpan sarcasm and grandeur.

JANITORMale30-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Additional Character. Non-Speaking/Day Player. A quiet, mysterious figure who seems to know more than he lets on. Leads UNO (unintentionally) to the discarded art gallery. Physically expressive role.

AUCTIONEERMale30-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Additional Character. Day Player. A slick, performative emcee with the charisma of a late-night host and the subtle corruption of a corporate salesman. Can speak fast and fake sincerity. Think flamboyant gallery host meets second hand car dealer. Looking for: A strong stage presence, great improvisation skills, and the ability to switch between charming and cold.

HUSBANDMale30-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Additional Character. Day Player. Disinterested, practical, and completely disconnected from the art world. Accompanies his wife to the auction and makes decisions based solely on surface value. Looking for: Deadpan delivery and subtle comic timing.

WIFEFemale30-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Additional Character. Day Player. Trendy, casually elitist, and obsessed with aesthetic matching. Picks art the way one might choose throw pillows. Looking for: Strong comedic instincts and an ability to capture vapid entitlement with charm.

WOMANFemale20-57 y.o.All ethnicities

Additional Character. Day Player. Assertive, status-conscious, and slightly frantic. A high-society buyer who treats art like high-end product shopping. Looking for: An expressive actor who can switch from composed to demanding in an instant.

CROWD MEMBERBoth genders20-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Additional Character. Eccentric and energetic, someone who yells “Someone brand that!” at the end of the show. Must have strong voice delivery and confidence to perform in a high-energy climax. Note: Featured line, great for someone with character flair and physical presence.
