A powerful, complex role – Blackshirt leader and Gino’s former best friend. Like Javert in Les Mis, Carita tracks Gino’s moves and cracks down on freedom. Carita is a proud Italian nationalist. He’s convinced that he is doing the right thing – after all, by imposing his brand of fascism, he’s pacifying the Germans and keeping away the even more brutal Nazis.
