About the project: Musicals: "A Musical Cabaret: Feelin’ Groovy" (Songs from the ’50’, ’60’ and ’70’s.) "Little Women" "Little Women": Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. Additional info: You may audition for one or all of the shows. Please download and fill out the audition sheet attached, and bring it with you to the audition. To view audition requirements & sides, please see the document attached. "Little Women": Please prepare a song (NOT from Little Women) that adequately shows your vocal range AND is easy for accompanist to sight read (key signature, technical difficulty). Please KNOW your vocal range ( example: E3-F5). Callbacks for Little Women is 6:30 pm, Friday, June 27th. "Feelin’ Groovy Cabaret, Music from the '50', '60' and '70's" Please prepare popular songs from the 1950's, '60's and '70's decades. Either bring your own sheet music (an accompanist will be provided) or possibly accompany yourself on piano or guitar. Groups or solos are welcome. There are no callbacks for the Cabaret. E3-A5 needs to be able to belt to E5. Our story’s protagonist. Passionate, adventurous, and brave. She has the idea of writing Little Women and eventually becomes engaged to Professor Bhaer. "Little Women"
A3-G5. The second youngest sister who tragically dies of Scarlet Fever. Peace-maker, lover,and an optimist who is always encouraging her sisters to dream. Will double as Rodrigo II. "Little Women"
E3-F5. A formidable, over-bearing matron and great-aunt to the March sisters. The wealthy socialite in town. Will double as Mrs. Kirk. "Little Women"
C3- D4. 60-70 y.o. Laurie’s grandfather and the March Family neighbor. Gruff and hardened, but softens over the course of his friendship with the March’s, closest to Beth. Will double as Knight. "Little Women"
Bb2-Bb4 definite tenor. The bright-eyed boy-next-door with considerable charm. He loves Jo but later falls in love with Amy. "Little Women"
C#3-F#4. Laurie’s tutor and a rather stiff man; shows very little emotion. He later marries Meg and changes. Will double as Braxton. "Little Women"
G2-F#4. German Professor who exemplifies proper manners. He is a boarder in Mrs. Kirk’s boarding house and eventually falls in love with Jo. "Little Women"
