About the project: Synopsis: When 12-year-old Maya is forced to live with Francis—her reluctant and emotionally unequipped stepfather—after her mother’s sudden passing, the two clash in a series of darkly funny and painfully honest encounters. Just as they begin to make fragile progress toward connection, a mysterious power outage and mass disappearance throw them into an eerie new reality. Part coming-of-age dramedy, part existential mystery, Remember on Wednesday is a poignant, sharp-tongued story about grief, growing up, and finding family in the most unexpected places.
