About the project: "ONCE" September 4, 2025-October 19, 2025 First Rehearsal 8/11/25 "Steel Magnolias" October 23, 2025-November 30, 2025 First Rehearsal 10/6/25 "The Hound of the Baskervilles" January 8, 2026-February 15, 2026 First Rehearsal 1/22/26 "Dear Jack, Dear Louise" February 26, 2026-April 5, 2026 First Rehearsal 2/9/26 "Come From Away" April 16, 2026-May 31, 2026 First Rehearsal 3/23/26 Rate: CONTRACT SPT $605 weekly minimum (SPT 6) Additional info: All auditioners will read from sides, available in advance on our website. If you have not previously auditioned for the Majestic Theater, please also prepare a brief (1-minute) contemporary monologue. Note: Monologues may be skipped due to time constraints. ONCE: All actors must sing and play an instrument. You may accompany yourself or present the song and instrument separately. Prepare a brief folk or acoustic-style song that showcases musicality and storytelling. A keyboard will be available; please bring any other instrument with you. COME FROM AWAY: Prepare a short musical theater song in a contemporary or folk-rock style that highlights vocal strength, storytelling, and ensemble sensibility. An accompanist will be provided.

KEVIN T: The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. KEVIN J: Kevin's T’s boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he is eager to leave as soon as possible. The events of September 11 make him reassess his life and his future. ALI: A Middle Eastern chef who works for an international hotel chain. He is misunderstood at times and the subject of discrimination, but despite adversity, he shows resilience and kindness. BOB: A hardened New Yorker, Bob is suspicious of where he's landed, fearing that it's World War 3, that someone is going to shoot him and steal his wallet - but instead, he ends up losing his New York jadedness. MUHUMUZA: A husband and a father. He is a protective man who, like his family, is rattled by the events of September 11 and is frightened that they are all being taken to a military compound.
