"Chiquita" One afternoon in a hotel room in Hollywood, the movie star Steve McQueen met with Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors. They were there to discuss a movie idea. McQueen wants to make an auto racing movie, but discussion breaks down when Morrison suggests casting the Latina parking attendant at the hotel whose driving skills impressed him. 2. "The Waiting Room" When loud-mouth comedian Natalie violates the fight club etiquette of the waiting room of a fertility clinic, an unexpected and hilarious friendship forms between her and Katherine, another woman who is waiting…not just to see the doctor, but to have a chance to start her family. 3. "After Charlottesville" When two best friends—one a white woman who attended the 2017 Charlottesville protest, the other an African American woman who couldn’t be there—reflect on the trauma and emotion through their personal experiences, exploring the impact of the events from both inside and outside the crowd.). 4. "A Very Different Kind Of Truth" Nine years ago, Cass and his sister disappeared. Cass came back after two months. Bee didn’t come back at all. Cass claims they were abducted by aliens – he even went on an Unsolved Mysteries type show to make his case- but no one believes him. Now Cass is pariah and Bee is still gone. Only Sayer accepts Cass’s crazy story…but what count as belief? And how solid can it really be? 5. " Additional info: Actors will need to fill out an audition form and submit a resume and headshot if available. Access the form here to print it out and complete it prior to your audition. Actors must note their conflicts throughout the rehearsal process and run of the show, June 9 – August 18. Rehearsals will typically be on both weeknights and weekends, depending on cast availability. Tech and dress rehearsals begin on Sunday August 3. Performances will run two weekends, August 8 -17 Performances will be Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 PM, with Sunday matinees every weekend at 2:00 PM. There is a Pay What You Can Preview on Thursday August 7. Brush-up rehearsals may be held Thursday evenings before Friday performances. Cast attendance is required at all rehearsals as called by the director unless a conflict has been previously indicated. Cast must be available for all tech and dress rehearsals, performances, and brush ups. To be considered, please apply.
