Need to find best physical match to Vivian.
Seasoned receptionist at a mid-level marketing firm. Knows how to multitask and is very good at their job. Exudes kindness.
Male (though could be female). Well-established Marketing Director at a mid-level marketing firm. Professional, put together. Kind, but slightly intimidating due to their position. Aura of authority.
Vivian's mom. Had too many kids too young and only now has time to figure out who she is. A people pleaser, she often conforms to what the men in her life want her to be. A bit oblivious when it comes to her child's needs, though that may be because she feels she's always in survival mode.
Vivian's stepfather, Jane's husband. Never wanted to be a father, but (in his mind) got "baby trapped" by Jane. Doesn't think the rules apply to him, does not consider how his words and actions affect other people. He's mad at the world because his life isn't what he thought it should be, so he takes it out on the people around him.
Vivian's best friend. A bright spot in this dim landscape. Loyal, kind, and considerate, an excellent party host and active listener. She is a caretaker, and happy to be one.
Non-binary/gender non-conforming, preferably POC. Effortlessly cool, the kind of person who walks into a room and everyone wants to find a reason to talk to them. Attractive, patient, emotionally intelligent, strong boundaries. Has no time for relationship games.
Youthful and fun, always has a smile for you, even in an uncomfortable situation. Knows how to read the room.
