About the play: Synopsis: Written in 1965, Les Belles-Soeurs portrays 15 Québécois women expressing their anger, desperation and frustration loudly, rudely and audaciously. Germaine Lauzon has won a million stamps in a contest. She invites her family and neighbors into her kitchen to help paste them into booklets. Fighting for any power in their suffocating lives, the women yell, backstab, dream and steal in grand theatrical style. Rate: This is a volunteer opportunity. Additional information: Location: Ottawa, ON. Rehearsals will be held starting mid-August, Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays. Please note Monday or Sunday as rehearsal day may be added to the calendar, this will be announced shortly. Performance dates are November 21-29, 2025 for 10 performances. French Canadian accents will be required for the roles and are to be attempted at the audition. If interested, please apply.
