Casting call for the two episodes of the "Behind the Blocks" series! Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About th eproject: 1. "Episode 1: "Quiet Night, Loud End" Plot: A lounge hosting a weekly open mic turns into a warzone when two young men use music to send threats to each other through diss lyrics. Fueled by social media and pride, the "rap beef" becomes real. The night ends with gunfire in the parking lot-only the wrong target is hit: a young artist who wasn't part of the beef. 2. "Episode 2: "Trading Places" Plot: A justified shooting of an unarmed white woman, by a black officer ignited community outrage, exposing the deep seated racial biases and unequal standards in law enforcement.
