Theater Audition for "Blackbird Calling" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Theatre is seeking one male actor for three workshop readings of "Blackbird Calling" with the potential of working on the full-scale production in the fall. About the play: Synopsis: "Blackbird Calling" is the story of a young woman who moves to the prairie pothole region of Alberta and encounters the Spotties—undesirables living in double houses on a dead-end street. When she befriends a family of Spotties, she discovers their stories and culture in a way that seeps into her identity. First published in Quattro Books and shortlisted for the ReLit Award.
