About the project: A man cooks for a dinner date, his very first date since his late partner passed away three years ago. Though he thought he was ready, his past comes to the surface over a pan of shakshuka and wine. Rate: $125/day + $50 for one in-person rehearsal day Additional info: PRODUCTION DATE: Mid-to-late summer 2025, 3-day shoot NOTE: There will be no kissing or sexual intimacy in this film. Markus lost his partner Mateo three years ago, and is just starting to date again. He is nervous and unsure, and is easily distracted by memories of his late partner.
Oliver is an emotionally astute man. Though lively and upbeat, he is acutely aware of the energy around him and adjusts as such. He has also lost a partner (revealed mid-way through the film), but he seems to be doing better than Markus. Maybe it’s because he’s so in touch with his emotions, or maybe he just hides it better.
Mateo was Markus’s late partner. He is a lively but gentle man, full of passion for life and especially for cooking. He is deeply in love with his partner Markus and is very open in showing that. When he speaks, you want to listen, because his passion is evident.
